I’m not sure if this is really from Bob Marley. I’ve researched it a lot and Marley comes up more often than not but to be honest though, I don’t care who wrote it. I just like it.
It rings true. People seem to like the idea of things more than they like the actual thing. Perhaps we’ve become so fixated on having ‘things’ that it’s just the chase we like. As soon as we have ‘it’ we move on to the next thing we want.
Or maybe, as a society we put too much value on having possessions. Keeping up with everyone else. Whether we want whatever it is or not. Can’t be seen to be behind the times.
I don’t know. That turned into a mini-rant on the state of society when all I wanted to do was share the quote with you all.
